It Was Good to be the King

Filed under: Retirement Flyers — qualifiedcondition @ 1:18 am

I’m not going to lie to you, I didn’t know that we have a King of Salvage.  I do know that when chairs and shelves are broken around the office (which is all the time, my chair right now only has one arm) we put a note on it that says “Salvage” and stick it out in the hall.  Usually within 8-10 months it is picked up.

But I don’t fault Clarence for the lag in getting crap furniture out of our hallway.  He has clearly been busy, look at him, he’s on the phone.  I would like to know which of the following is true: 1. Clarence, who is happy as shit to be talking on the phone, was caught in a candid moment, or, 2. The secretary who was in charge of making this Word Art masterpiece flyer told Clarence to “get on the phone” and “look busy.”  The latter option is not entirely shameful though, I don’t know how many fake pictures I’ve had to take pointing at stuff on maps.

Otherwise, the patriotic Word Art arches, the 876 numbers to RSVP for the party and the “you have to pay to go to this party” cover charge are all classic MERPF.  This flyer does score points for “bon farewell” though.  So classy.
