Guilty Feet Have Got No Rhythm

I take back anything bad that I might have said about satelite radio.  This morning when I got in the car “Careless Whisper” by Wham was playing on the 80’s station (or is it “Wham!”).  That is a kind of morning gratification that carries no price tag my friend.  I wish that I could appropriately spell out all of the “ladadada” background vocals that are going to be stuck in my head all day (especially the part where they break it down at the end of the song) or demonstrate how gratifying it will be at tonight’s Commission meeting tonight to have this bouncing around in my head instead of whatever dumb stuff I am supposed to be focused on.  It’s like open mental rebelion.  With a popped collar and a likely homosexual predisposition.

Did I ever tell you that when I was a young lad my sister would take my brother and I out to the garage with her ghetto blaster and teach us to roller skate?  She would charge us a dime for every lesson, and there was a penny fee for everytime we touched the walls or my dad’s truck which was parked on the far side.  The ghetto blaster was always stocked with Wham, and anytime I hear “Wake Me Up (Before you Go Go)”, “Credit Card Baby” or “Careless Whisper” et al, my mind immediately jumps into the “all skate direction.”

I can’t wait to teach my sister’s kids to roller skate.  I just need to get some Wham on the iPod really soon.

  1. With inflation, you can charge your sister’s children at least $1 a lesson.
